Any Advice on what to work on to make the High school Golf Team?
I’m 14 and i just started playing golf earlier this year and just recently brought my own clubs. I never played on a course but soon intending too. I go to the range 1-2 times a week for 2 hours and work on anything from driving, putting, sand wedge, and even chipping. I’ll admit i am not super good. I am accurate though, i shoot the 3 wood around 180 yards, sometimes farther. I am a good putter yet my short game, chipping and sanding, is okay. I want to try out for the highschool golf team next year as a sophmore instead of this year as a freshman so i can get some practicing in for a full year. Does anyone have any advice on what i should do to prepare and what not? Thanks
Do those anti-slice tees really work in golf?
I don’t slice my tee shot all the time. It’s a matter of getting consistent mechanics. But I don’t have time to practice all the time. I figured if these anti-slice tees worked (even a little) they might be worth the purchase. Please be detailed on how well they work, if you have used them.
How long does it take for golf drills to work consistently?
I seem to have a slight sway, and im just practicing the correct turn within the golf swing.
Is range work or actual golf better for a determined brand new female golfer?
My friend is on her golf team and she has never played golf before. She’s very determined and wants to maximize her practice effort as much as possible. Her first match was last Thursday and she feels out of place since she shot 77 in her first match while her opponent shot 38 in a 9 hole match.(We are a new highschool so we only had enough girls for 1 full team)
